Rise and shine! Tiktilaok~
OMGGGG, never expected to finish this game on time. This project is a collaboration of all NEU Game Development Students from the 2BSEMC-2 (S.Y. 2023-2024). Good job gang!
WHAT IS TIKTILAOK?
Tiktilaok is an indie game based on the Philippines. 'The term "Tiktilaok" is an onomatopoeic expression derived from "tilaok," which mimics the sound of a rooster crowing. Compare 'Tiktilaok' to the Bikol Central 'tukturaok,' the Cebuano 'tuktugaok,' and the English 'cock-a-doodle-doo.'"
Tiktilaok's arts are inspired by one of the outstanding examples of an evolved, living cultural landscape in the Philippines: "The Rice Terraces of the Philippine Cordilleras" mixed with the game play's core concept, which is to defend the farm, giving valuable characteristics to the genre.
HOW TO PLAY?
Tiktilaok is a shooting game aimed to immerse youths as young as 8 years old in a simple battle of defending their crops and livestock. There are two modes available: Farmer Mode and Chicken Mode.
Farmer Mode is a casual, endless mode experience aimed at beating their high score. Chicken Mode features a higher difficulty level and more aggressive enemy waves.
The core gameplay loop in both modes revolves around using your shooting abilities to defend your crops and livestock from the invading threats. The difference lies in the intensity and difficulty, allowing players to choose the mode that best suits their skill level and preference.
